Aug 27, 2015 · I have installed windows 10 on my laptop. Once I login my desktop shows and is operable for about 30 seconds then, it flashes once, and a few seconds later it goes out completely. The taskbar disappears as well. I can access Task Manager through ctrl/alt/del but cannot reload the desktop until I reboot. One of the biggest changes you’ll see in Windows 7 is in the taskbar. The old Quick Launch Toolbar is missing! However, if you don’t like the change, you can restore the Quick launch Toolbar to the taskbar to the Windows 7 desktop. Recently however, my taskbar has begun to disappear. The Windows Start Button still stays visible and works, but my tasbar disappears which has grown to be an annoyance. I am currently running Win7 Home Premium just in case that helps.
